Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Reisgen
Professor Dr. Ing. Uwe Reisgen, born in Eschweiler on September 26, 1962, studied Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and achieved the final qualification of Dipl. Ing. in 1990. He subsequently worked as a scientific employee at the Institute for Welding Technology at RWTH Aachen where he obtained his Dr. Ing. doctor\'s degree in 1995. From 1995 to 2000, Reisgen was employed as a senior engineer at the Institute for Welding Technology at RWTH Aachen University and, since 2000, he has been the Head of the Joining and Testing Technology Department at the Jülich Research Centre. In 2007, he was appointed as a university professor at the Institute for Welding Technology and Joining Technology at RWTH Aachen University and as the director of the institute with the same name.
