M. Sc. Rahul Sharma

Rahul Sharma studied mechanical engineering and materials science at RWTH Aachen University and worked as a research engineer at FEF GmbH in Aachen from 2010 to 2013. After qualifying as a welding engineer, he was employed as a research associate at the Institute of Welding and Joining Technology at RWTH Aachen University from 2013 to 2018. Since 2018, he has headed the Arc Welding and Simulation Department there as a senior engineer. In addition to investigating the influences of welding processes on material behavior, his areas of work include, in particular, in-situ experiments for strain measurement using diffraction methods as well as process analysis of arc welding processes.
