Dr.-Ing. Marcus Emmel

Dr.-Ing. Marcus Emmel, born in 1985 in Neuwied,
Germany, studied materials technology,
glass and ceramics from 2005–2009 at the Westerwald
Campus (Koblenz University of Applied
Sciences) in Höhr-Grenzhausen, Germany. He
then received his doctorate from the Technical
University Bergakademie Freiberg on the subject
of “Development of carbon-bonded filters
for steel melt filtration”. Since 2016 he has been
working at the Forschungsinstitut für Anorganische
Werkstoffe -Glas/Keramik- GmbH, among
other things, with topics in the field of high-performance
ceramics and additive manufacturing.
