Dipl.-Ing. Stephan Völkers

Dipl.-Ing. Stephan Völkers was born in 1983 in Kassel/Germany. After finishing school in 2001 he completed a vocational training as a metalworker. Then he graduated from technical school in Lippstadt in 2007 and studied mechanical engineering at the University of Kassel with a focus on production technology. Since June 2014 he has been working as a research assistant at the Department for Cutting and Joining (tff), Institute for Production Technologies and Logistics (IPL) at the University of Kassel/Germany. His research interests lie in the field of beam technology, particularly laser welding, laser cutting and welding simulation.
