In his subsequent career, he was engaged as a doctoral student at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing in Berlin. The topic of his work and doctoral thesis was Qualification of modern flux-cored wires and solid wires for the laser-GMA hybrid welding. Since 2010, he has worked in the area of qualification processes at Siemens AG.
