Dipl.-Ing. Benjamin Schlosser

After completing his studies at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg in August 2014, Mr. Schlosser began his professional career at Vorrichtungsbau Giggel GmbH, an automotive supplier focusing on prototype and small series production. As the person responsible for the mechanisation and automation of joining processes, he supervised the first welding robot. The tasks range from fixture design and the creation of robot programs to the automation-oriented optimization of production processes. In addition, Mr. Schlosser was the responsible welding supervisor in the affiliated company Metallbearbeitung Harz GmbH. Since 2017, Mr. Schlosser has been a scientific assistant at the Institute for Material and Joining Technology (IWF) of the OvGU, where he deals with arc-based additive welding of aluminium as well as quality evaluation and process control of MSG welding with optical and infrared sensors.
