Philip Threadgill

Philip Threadgill retired from TWI Ltd in Cambridge/UK in 2009 after 33 years service. He worked initially in the Materials Group and since 1985 in the Friction Welding Group, where his final position was Consultant and Technology Manager. He maintains an extensive interest in many aspects of friction welding and friction stir welding, in particular related to materials aspects and process fundamentals.
