An introduction to vacuum furnace brazing technology - Part 2: further technical considerations and brazing hardware
During use all vacuum brazing furnaces
are pumped continuously. As a result, both
the total pressure and the composition of
the residual atmosphere are undergoing
continuous change as the furnace goes
through its programmed cycle.
The significance of the continuous
change in the residual atmosphere is usually
seen by the furnace operative(s) when 304
austenitic steel is being brazed.
